How Does Sentinel Spectrum Chews Work?

Sentinel Spectrum flea and worm chews contain lufenuron, milbemycin oxime, and praziquantel as active ingredients. After ingestion, the formula is absorbed into your dog's bloodstream.

Lufenuron acts as an insect growth inhibitor. It breaks the flea life cycle by preventing the flea eggs from hatching or maturing into adults. As a result, it prevents and controls flea populations. Milbemycin oxime obstructs the invertebrate neurotransmission. It removes the tissue stage of heartworm larvae, along with the adult hookworm, roundworm, and whipworm infestations, when given as indicated on the label. Praziquantel damages the tegument of tapeworms, causing muscle spasms and paralysis. This leads to the disintegration of tapeworms and is eliminated from the dog’s body.

Do not use Sentinel Spectrum in puppies under six weeks of age or less than two pounds of body weight. The safe use of Sentinel Spectrum has not been evaluated in breeding or lactating female dogs.
