Paragard for Dogs is an oral broad-spectrum treatment developed to help protect your canine companions from worm infections. A single, tasty tablet is effective against roundworms, hookworms, whipworms and tapeworms. This all-in-one dewormer for puppies and dogs comes in a palatable liver-flavored tablet that dogs enjoy, making administration convenient and easy. For picky eaters, it can be given with food.
Paragard dewormer for dogs is suitable for puppies as young as two weeks old, allowing for early protection. It may be combined with a heartworm prevention product for comprehensive worm control. This dog intestinal worm treatment can also be used in breeding and pregnant dogs, reducing the risk of worm transmission to puppies. Paragard is available in three dosage strengths to cater to dogs of various sizes.
Oxibendazole, Praziquantel.
Paragard Allwormer for dogs contains oxibendazole and praziquantel. After administration, this combination of active ingredients is absorbed into the dog's bloodstream and works systemically. The formula targets the nervous system of worms, causing paralysis and death of these parasites. Oxibendazole works against roundworms, hookworms and whipworms; while praziquantel eliminates tapeworms.

Paragard should not be used in puppies under two weeks of age. It is for use in dogs only. Avoid using this treatment on any other animal species. Assess your pet's body weight as accurately as possible before calculating the dosage. Keep it out of reach of children, pets and uninformed people.
This wormer is suitable for use in pregnant and breeding dogs. Dogs should not be fed or allowed to feed on offal from any species. Treat all animals in the household for fleas to reduce the risk of flea tapeworms. Consult a veterinarian to confirm the dosage before administration.
It may irritate the eyes. Avoid its direct contact with eyes. Wash your hands after handling this treatment.

Treat puppies at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age, followed by every 3 months. Adult dogs should be treated every 3 months. Treat breeding dogs during the mating period, during the gestation period, one week before birth and 3 to 4 weeks after birth. For hydatid tapeworms, treat every 6 weeks. For protection from whipworms, treat every 6-8 weeks after 3 months of age.
When used as directed on the label, this broad-spectrum dewormer is safe for puppies from two weeks of age. It can be given to pregnant and breeding dogs.
This dog intestinal worm treatment is not effective in preventing heartworm disease.
Paragard dewormer for dogs may be combined with a heartworm preventive. Please consult a veterinarian before using the combination of these treatments.
