Protect your cats inside and out with the comprehensive coverage of Advantage Multi (Advocate) for Cats. This broad-spectrum and easy-to-apply treatment protects cats against fleas, heartworm disease, intestinal worms, ear mites and feline mange mites. Advocate topical treatment for cats provides rapid relief from fleas. It stops re-infesting fleas from biting within 3 to 5 minutes of contact and kills them within one hour. This makes it a preferred choice for cat parents during heavy flea outbreaks. Plus, its ability to kill parasites on contact saves your cat from painful bites.
Advantage Multi (Advocate) flea & worm treatment provides comprehensive protection to your cats against intestinal worms. It is effective against larval, immature, and adult stages of roundworms and hookworms. A regular application of Advocate offers uninterrupted protection. When given once every month, moxidectin, one of the active ingredients in the treatment, reaches a steady state in your cat's system, offering continuous protection, even between doses.
Advantage Multi (Advocate) for Cats contains two active ingredients, imidacloprid and moxidectin. After application, the active formula is spread all over the cat's body. Imidacloprid works topically by spreading through the lipid (fatty/oily) layer of the cat's skin and coat. It kills adult fleas on contact. This active ingredient also controls environmental flea larvae by shedding with the pet's skin and fur into the environment.
Moxidectin works systemically. It is absorbed into the bloodstream and tissues through the skin, killing worms and mites. With regular monthly administration, the formula reaches a steady state in the cat's system, providing continuous protection.
Advocate kills fleas quickly and stops re-infesting fleas from feeding in 3-5 minutes. It kills adult fleas within one hour of administration and eliminates flea larvae, thus helping control flea infestations in the treated cat's environment.
Imidacloprid, Moxidectin.

An active flea infestation only comprises 5% of adult fleas; the remaining 95% of the infestation is their lifecycle in the environment. Also, a single flea can lay up to 50 eggs a day. For Advocate to kill fleas, the fleas must come into contact with the treated cat. Advocate kills these adult fleas before they can lay eggs. Plus, it kills flea larvae in the cat's environment. Due to a long flea lifecycle, it may take time to eliminate the flea infestation. Therefore, environmental flea control is recommended (by washing the cat's bedding, vacuuming, etc.) for optimum results.
