How Does Advantage Flea Treatment for Dogs Work?

Advantage for dogs contains imidacloprid. After application, this active ingredient spreads throughout the dog's skin and coat via the natural oils in the skin and hair. Imidacloprid works on the nervous system of parasites, causing paralysis and death of target parasites. It also kills flea larvae in the treated dog's environment, thus breaking their life cycle. The formula also kills lice.

• Weigh your dog to determine the correct dosage.
• Remove the required applicator from the pack.
• Hold the applicator upright and pull its cap off.
• Reverse the cap and push it back on the applicator.
• Break the applicator seal by twisting the cap and then removing the cap from the applicator.
• The dog should be standing for easy application.
